Associate, Investigation Team (100%) – Geneva

We are looking for a Swiss-Qualified Lawyer to join our leading Disputes Practice Group in Geneva.

Our Disputes Practice Group features one of the largest leading practices in Switzerland.

We represent clients before the Swiss courts and in arbitrations under the rules of all international institutions. We advise on pre-litigation measures and strategies, and have broad experience in coordinating and monitoring complex international litigation in many jurisdictions.

We maintain a notable record in litigation, with a particular focus on commercial and banking matters, with varied clients from private individuals and states to reputable companies.

We are specifically recruiting for our Investigation Team, which works with the firm's lawyers in the fact-finding and analytical dimensions of legal work. We combine investigative expertise, traditional eDiscovery and digital forensics, and cutting-edge digital tools to help our lawyers uncover, interpret and present complex information efficiently and accurately. The Desk manages large-scale document review and productions, and coordinates relevant intelligence-gathering.

The Investigation Team oversees large-scale data collection, document review, and intelligence-gathering at the early stages of each matter. The insights generated support internal corporate investigations, compliance assessments, and due-diligence reviews, and are often directly leveraged in hearing and trial preparation.

This position is ideal for junior lawyers who have an interest in going beyond traditional legal work, working at the intersection of law, technology, and data analysis.

We are seeking candidates who meet the following requirements:

  • You are a Swiss-Qualified Lawyer;
  • You are fluent in English and in French;
  • You have prior experience in litigation, preferably gained in a top-tier Swiss or international law firm (prior experience in investigations and/or compliance is an asset but not a requirement);
  • You have excellent academic qualifications and references;
  • You have strong drafting skills;
  • You have a strong command of tools like Microsoft excel and prior experience or an interest in the use of Legal Tech and data analysis (prior experience with Relativity is an asset but not a requirement).

And demonstrate the following personal skills:

  • You strive for excellence and aim to consistently deliver work of the highest quality;
  • You are a team-player, reliable and have a positive attitude;
  • You have an innovative and curious mindset with an interest in technology and its application in the legal field;
  • You are detail-oriented, structured and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously;
  • You have excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills
