Schellenberg Wittmer Advises Swiss Private Investors on Acquisition of Conforama Switzerland

Schellenberg Wittmer advised a group of Swiss private investors on their landmark acquisition of leading furniture and home appliance retailer Conforama Switzerland from its French parent company Conforama Holding, a subsidiary of Steinhoff International Holdings NV.

Conforama Switzerland employs 1,200 staff and operates 22 stores across Switzerland, where it has been present since 1976 and is also an important player in e-commerce.

The team at Schellenberg Wittmer advising on the carve-out transaction was led jointly by Christoph Vonlanthen and Oliver Triebold and included Marcel Jakob and Yannick Caballero Cuevas (M&A), Anita Schläpfer, Grégoire Wuest, Edmond Kohler and Fabio Hurni (Banking and Finance), Roland Mathys, Samuel Klaus and Amalie Wijesundera (ICT), David Mamane (Antitrust), Philipp Groz (IP), Michael Nordin, Jean-Frédéric Maraia, Roland Wild and Julien Witzig (Tax).
