Schellenberg Wittmer advises GCA Savvian on merger with Altium

GCA Savvian Corporation (GCA), a Tokyo Stock Exchange listed global investment bank entered into a definitive merger agreement with leading international M&A advisory Altium Corporate Finance Group (Altium). This combination creates a leading independent international investment bank, the 7th largest listed M&A advisory firm in the world.

Under the terms of the agreement, there will be a share for share exchange whereby GCA will acquire the entire issued share capital of Altium in exchange for shares in GCA, subject to regulatory approval and other customary closing conditions.

Schellenberg Wittmer in co-operation with lead counsel Slaughter and May acted as Swiss legal counsel to GCA Savvian Corporation. The team consisted of partner Lorenzo Olgiati (Corporate/M&A, lead), partner Martin Lanz (Financial Regulation), senior associate Pascal Hubli, associate Zlatina Iliev and Camillo Devecchi (all Corporate/M&A).
