Practice Group

Schellenberg Wittmer advises companies and individuals in all legal matters concerning IT Security and Cybercrime. The IT Security and Cybercrime Group has specific and multidisciplinary knowledge related to the prevention and management of and response to cyber incidents, and has immediate access to technical experts and large-scale resources if required.

  • Advice on cyber insurance coverage, established relationships with specialist cyber insurance brokers
  • Internal investigations (e.g. forensic investigations, employee interviews, internal reporting), supported by Schellenberg Wittmer’s FlexLaw team for resource-intensive and cost-sensitive tasks (e.g. document reviews, e-discovery, contract management)
  • Provision of e-discovery solutions (document review projects, secure datarooms, secure file exchange platforms, productivity and analytic tools, including predictive coding, strategic advice)
  • Data breach notifications for a major pharmaceutical company
  • Legal advice to an investment bank manager in an identity theft case
  • Legal support to a private bank in taking down a fake website
